At the dental practice of Dr. Robert Duffy & Dr. Thomas Kwiatt, our friendly, dedicated, and energetic dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a positive dental experience every time you visit our practice.
We welcome you with warm smiles to our practice!
I’ve worked in the dental field since 1978 and joined the team here in 2012. My background is in everything related to dental insurance, from claims to product design, marketing, and sales management. As our practice’s insurance specialist, I’ll help you get the most from your benefits. I’ll handle your claims and be your advocate with the insurance company, so you don’t have to stress about paperwork.
I’m married and have three children as well as two dogs. In my free time, I love to travel. I also love cooking and trying new recipes, as well as creating my own. I volunteer as a tutor with the Lake County Literacy Program, too.
I’ve been working in the field since 1977 and started here in 1983. I love the relationships that have grown with my patients and am glad to be caring for the smiles of multiple generations of families. I provide thorough, gentle dental cleanings. While I’m working one-to-one with you, I’ll talk with you about your oral health. Together, we’ll find ways you can improve your home care and keep your smile healthy.
My husband, Dr. Duffy, and I have three daughters, a son-in-law, a grandson, and another grandson on the way. They all live in North Carolina, so I get to travel and visit them quite often. I stay fit through zumba and walking. I also believe in helping our community and volunteer at an Alzheimer’s facility as well as at a local food pantry.
As a dental assistant, I’m here to support and help you during your procedure. I started my career in dental care right here in 1994, and love the friendships I’ve made. Along with the doctors and the team, I want you to have a positive visit. I’ll work chairside, helping the doctor while telling you what we’re doing and checking that you’re comfortable. Following the procedure, I’ll give you home care instructions and check to make sure you’re happy with the care we’ve provided.
My husband Jim and I have a young son, Johnny, who keeps us busy. If we’re not on the baseball field or basketball court, you’ll find us at the rink, watching Johnny play ice hockey. We love every minute of it! I also enjoy playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with our family, including our puppy, Duke, and Siamese cat, Sophia.
I love helping patients achieve optimal oral health while getting to know each person. We truly have the best patients and I am honored by their friendships. I’ve been part of the Duffy & Kwiatt team since 2000 and can’t imagine working in a more positive, supportive office. I assist the doctor during dental procedures, and make sure he has everything needed. At the same time, I support our patients: checking that they’re comfortable and telling them how well it’s going. I also compile information for treatment plans and help my teammates.
I’m happily married to my husband Terry. We both love animals and nature. We have two pets: Bella is our dog and Sherman is our cat. I also have a son Jeff, and four grandchildren: Shay, Emerson, and the twins, Willow and Liam. Outside of time with my family, I enjoy making jewelry and cheering for the Blackhawks.
I started working in the dental field in 1998 as a dental assistant, then enrolled in a dental hygiene program and started here in 2003. I love seeing returning patients and catching up on their lives. I also love meeting new patients and learning who they are. My job doesn’t feel like work, because I spend it helping people I care about to develop healthy smiles. I clean teeth, diagnose periodontal disease, and place sealants. With each patient, I focus on education and teaching them how to care for their smile.
I have been married for eight years and have two young children, Chloe and Connor. We’re always on the move. My kids are involved in many activities; therefore, I’m involved, too! I enjoy tennis and jogging. Also, I’m a hygienist that loves to bake and have taken classes in decorating.
Certified Dental Assistant
I started my career in the dental field right here with Duffy & Kwiatt, in 2004. We have incredible doctors and my coworkers are the best. Everyone here focuses on you: Your comfort and goals are important to all of us and we’ll do our best to keep you smiling. I wear several hats in our office. As a dental assistant, I work chairside: helping the doctor while supporting our patient. I’m also in charge of ordering for the practice. I also love promoting our practice through social media and troubleshooting technology issues.
My husband Isaac and I have two beautiful young children: Devan is our son and Evangelina is our daughter. My family is my priority and we are always doing fun things in the Chicagoland area. My favorite hobby is photography and I love taking family portraits. I’m currently in school, and working on a business degree. When I have time, I enjoy reading, baking, and scrapbooking.
Director of Human Resources and Office Manager
I’m delighted to say I started at our office on our first day, December 12, 1978, when we held an open house for friends, family, and other new tenants in the building. It was the first of many celebrations we’ve had here! Having the opportunity to oversee such a dynamic and enthusiastic team makes me excited to come to work every day. It’s a joy to work with people who are passionate about the health and happiness of all our patients. In addition to managing daily office functions, I’m in charge of human resources, payroll, and accounting for the practice.
I met Dr. Kwiatt when we were 16 and I’m lucky to call him my husband of more than 40 years. We’ve built a wonderful family together. I have my BS in nursing and worked in the pediatric and neonatal fields as a head nurse for several years and later taught pediatric nursing. After staying at home to raise our three children — Jim, Michael, and Anne — I found myself interested in the business practices and management aspects of dentistry. So I went back to school for my MBA. Dr. Kwiatt and I formerly taught at the Marquette University School of Dentistry for the PRIDE Institute. We now teach practice management courses to dental residents at the Loyola Dental School.
In addition to our three children and their spouses, we have three grandsons and two granddaughters we love spending time with and spoiling; don’t tell their parents! My personal hobbies include spinning, traveling, playing golf, and reading. I also enjoy wine and attending art lectures.
